The guy on the other side.

It all started with a choice, what do I do a college, Carpentry or Photography?

If you can tell, you should know what path I took.

I'm Alec. I have been working as a professional photographer since 2018, but before I became a photographer, let's dive deeper into the past.

When I was three years old, I first got my hands on a camera on a skiing trip with my family and friends. I used to run around with a little disposable camera taking photos. Let's say I didn't know that you could turn the camera from landscape to portrait. I was three, and we didn't have google back then.

Swiftly moving on from the beginning, I always had this fascination with the camera, just the click of the shutter and seeing how quickly I could put the film in the camera. I remember moving on from film photography when my dad bought a Sony MVC. If you know, they used to use floppy disks. I used to all way us it until my dad got sick of me taking it, so for my birthday, he got me a fuji Fine pix camera.

Let's fast forward. I could talk about this forever. In 2009, I started an ND in Fine art and Photography. Then moving on to that, I went to Northampton University.

Then Moving forward again in 2018, I started my first job as a junior Photographer at GSM Retail. Within six months, I was the studio manager running the studio. While working there, I realised everything I learned at Uni could have been more helpful in E-commerce photography, but we move.

2019 GSM Retail was bought out by Boardriders, one of the world's largest skate surf and snow brands, so I moved on to working with them, helping them out from the UK when they needed me to. Unfortunately, 2020 was not a fun time for anyone, and that's where I was sadly made redundant after Boardriders sold the company Two Seasons off, and I was given the boot.

It wasn't all sad during that time; I had a plan; that plan was Alec Findlay Creative Ltd and which was established in 2021, and I can say I have never looked back.

There's my story hope you enjoy it.
